Project 1039

A contemporary replacement dwelling situated in Cheltenham within the central conservation area. The client’s brief was to design an elegant, well-proportioned house with a light interior spaces. Two large open-plan living spaces are connected by the main staircase, which acts as a central hinge in the middle of the building. The property incorporates bespoke joinery throughout and a modern Bulthaup kitchen. As well as attention to detail, the house provides very high insulation standards and integrates renewable technologies including air source heat pump, heat recovery, and solar panels in order to provide a comfortable internal environment at a low running cost. This project was a finalist in the Sustainable Design of the Year award by Designer magazine and was the recipient of a Cheltenham Civic Award.
